I Stamped!

I made a birthday card for my bro-in-law's birthday. It's been a while. I used my Unity Stamps of course! Love 'em! The paper is Basic Grey Offbeat. Paper pieced every other lamp, and put black glitter on the others. Loved it!
Be back soon!

Sorry I've Been AWOL

Here is a digital page of my favorite little man, Brayden. Isn't he adorable! This is all I have.
I have so many ideas and no time to execute! I will fix that this week. Kids are out of school, but I'm still going. One class, Corporate Finance, is accelerated so it's nuts. It will be done after next week though. The other class, Presentation Techniques Public Speaking), goes on a little longer. Yuk! Ill be happy when it's all done. I know it will be worth it.
I will be updating the blog soon. Please bear with me.

Another Digital Page

I love digital scrapbooking. I still love traditional so I won't be giving it up completely.
This layout is my grandson and daughter. I got most of the elements from Two Peas in a Bucket.

Such a great card for a sister ;)

Unity KOTM Blog Hop Preview

Good Morning! Here is a preview of the Unity Kit of the Month Blog Hop. Make sure you come back later when the Hop begins at 11:00 Central Time!
This card uses the March Kit of the Month, Simple Life. I stamped the journaling block (not just for scrapbooking!), cut it out, and punched the edge using an EK Success edger punch. I saw the "But wait, there's more" along the bottom of the DP and thought it might be kind of cute along the bottom ;>. I stamped one of Unity's beautiful quotes on the inside. Sorry, could not get a decent picture of the inside, but you get the idea. I used my Cutter Bee Bug to add the perforated lines to mimic the lines in the paper. By the way, how awesome is the Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday line! The buttons I love! I put little snips of ribbon over the buttons and tied them to the buttons using linen thread. I got the idea from Michelle Wooderson. She always has awesome ideas!
Thanks for looking, and don't forget to come back for the Blog Hop.

Tiny Trinity

Yes, another Unity card. Yes, I am an addict! And no, I don't want to stop!
This card uses Tiny Trinity Kit (love these trees) and "enjoy" from the February KOM, Endings & Beginnings. I can't say enough about what a great deal the Kits of the Months are!
I paper pieced again too. Sorry I don't know what paper this is. It's all from one 8x8 collection. The buttons on the corners are from Papertrey INK. I inked around the edges of the trees and the grass hill.
Thanks for checking it out!

May KOTM Guest Designer Challenge

I made this card a couple of weeks ago, as soon as I received my April KOTM. I was so excited and this was the first stamp that jumped out at me. Love it! I left it a little less fussed with until I found out what the challenge was going to be, then I added to it until I was happy with it. Yes, I saved this card for this challenge! I was so geeked about the challenge, and very happy with this card.
I started with an SU Sahara Sand base. I stamped the little curly flourish along the edge. I added the designer paper from, I think, Daisy D's. The Kraft layer was stamped with the Distressed Dots. The Dress Form is mounted on Papertrey Ink Spring Rain CS. The "Hello" is stamped on Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush. The Twill Ribbon is also sponged with PTI Sweet Blush. All of the edges of the cardstock were distressed with the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and sponged with SU Creamy Caramel Ink to age it. The twill was also sponged with Creamy Caramel. I dug and found some SU buttons to coordinate with the card. They have SU Linen Thread through them, and they're adhered with glue dots.
The GORGEOUS Dress Form was stamped in SU Close to Cocoa and colored with Prismacolor Pencils. After shading the whole thing I went over the lines and the basewith Prismacolor's Gold Metallic pencil. It was cut out in two pieces and mounted on the cardstock. The body of the form was popped up on dimensionals. I found this tiny rhinestone flower by Heidi Swapp for the belt. I went over the pearl necklace with my white pen.
Whew, that was a lot! I hope you enjoy it!

Unity Hip Hop Challenge!

I'm back! School is out, for a week and a half anyway. I plan on stamping a lot in this week and a half!

Today is Hip Hop day at Unity! Yay! Here is my entry for one of the challenges - to make a birthday card without traditional birthday images. I love these kites from the April KOTM! (Go look and see for yourself!) I'm totally addicted to Unity stamps and the KOTM! They have the best assortment in each kit, they're a great size, and a great price! Now, back to the card!

The card base is SU Not Quite Navy. The image is stamped on PTI Spring Rain, and that is layered on PTI Pure Poppy. I paper pieced the kites on Basic Grey Cupcake paper. The image panel is popped up on dimensionals. The patterned paper along the bottom is Cupcake also I believe. The "celebrate" is cut out of a Spellbinder tag die. It's also popped up.

Hope you all like it! I loved making it!

Have a great day!
Supplies:
Stamps: Unity KOTM
Paper: PTI Pure Poppy and Spring Rain, SU Not Quite Navy, Basic Grey Cupcake
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, SU Not Quite Navy
Accessories: Dimensionals, Ric Rac, Spellbinders Die, SU Brads, White pen

Digi page!

I just got the Creative Memories digital software so I can start scrapping digitally. Here is my first page using my new toy. I'm so excited! My son goes to school at Catholic Central High School and plays hockey for them. My first pages will all be from this season. One of the dads takes tons of pictures and we got a cd with tons. I have a lots to keep me busy. I'm still doing the regular scrapbooking since I have tons of pictures still to scrapbook. This is going to be fun too.

Paper Piecing Unity

I am becoming addicted to Unity! I absolutely love the quality of their stamps and their Kit of the Month is always phenominal! When I received my first kit I was amazed at the size of the stamps. These aren't a bunch of little stamps thrown together. They're awesome and they're a great size. The quality is wonderful too. I have lots of their stamps now and I can't wait to own more.
This card is made with 2 of the stamps from the February kit. There is something about Unity stamps. They beg to be paper pieced! I used Basic Grey Bittersweet for this card, on SU Sahara Sand. The base is SU Pretty in Pink. I stamped with SU Basic Brown. The flower brad is also SU. Not a lot of supplies. Time consuming cutting out all of the little birds and wings, but so worth it!

Unity Chick!

Here is another card for another challenge! Love this bird! I'll be back to edit with details in a little bit!
ETA: Ok, I'm back! There's lots of texture and print on this card. I went a little overboard but that's ok! As you can see in the top photo I used my Stardust glitter pen on the bird. I also used it on the flowers on the pink DP, the layer along the left side, and on the word beautiful. I love it! It adds so much. Thanks for checking out the chick!
Supplies:
Stamps: Unity Chick and Beautiful
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black
Paper: SU Kiwi Kiss, Basic Grey Urban Prairie
Accessories: Sakura Stardust Pen, Cuttlebug Textile Folder, Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 2 Die.

Unity Shroom

Here is my first card using the February KOTM. Love it! This is the cutest little house! I paper pieced the heck out of it using Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy paper. Love it! I made this for one of the Hip Hop Challenges over at SCS.
The base is Papertrey Ink Ripe Avacado. The brown is Dark Chocolate from PTI also. The color in this picture is a little wonky, but it's close. I popped the house up on dimensionals.
Thanks for looking, and check out Hip Hop!

My little boo

I had to put my grandson Brayden's picture up here. He is adorable! He was chillin' with my cell phone. He grabbed it, quickly went and laid here, and flipped the phone open and started talking. I love the foot up on the table leg. Mr. Cool! I think his mom talks on the phone too much!

Quilted Birthday Wish

This is the last of the birthday cards I made for my friends. I guess that means I better get busy stamping some more. School for the next 2 days so it might not be until Thursday :<
Back to the card! This was the first set I purchased from Papertrey Ink. I also picked up the cardstock sampler. Wow! I'm glad I did! It's so heavy duty. Very impressed! I picked up a couple of ink cubes too, some ribbon, and some vintage buttons. All very yummy!
The card base is PTI Dark Chocolate. The rest of the CS is SU Confetti White. I sponged it for the scalloped oval and the quilt strip with PTI Melon Berry ink. The image is 3 separate images. The greeting, the thread and the needle are all separate.
Thanks for stopping by!

Something Different

Taking a break from cards. Here is a nice little thing to hang somewhere. I started with these cut outshapes by Plaid that I picked up at Michaels. They were inexpensive too. I know I'll use them for lots of things. I saw Anna Wight's post about some bird shapes that she picked up. I didn't think much about them until I saw them myself. They're a good size. The hearts are about 3.25 x 4.5 inches. It says wood shapes on the package, but they're more like pressed board. Had to have them! I have to get the birds too. Don't know why I didn't get them when I was there.
Anyway, I used the Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy paper. It's so cute! I covered the heart and the back of the paper with Mod Podge. When it was dry I covered the front with Mod Podge. When that was dry I sponged the edge with SU Basic Brown. I put the holes in afterward. I used the large hole puncher thingy from the SU tool kit. It took some pounding, but it went through. I don't have one of those fancy Crop-a-Diles :<. But it's all good. I cut out the pinecone from one of the other papers. I covered it with a couple of coats of Mod Podge to stiffen it a little. I curved it a little and put it on with some dimensionals. I added some buttons with linen thread. The ribbon I picked up at Michaels quite a while back. I might go back later and add something else to it but I'm not sure.

Thanks for looking!

I Used My Copics!

I LOVE the few Copics I have. I used them on this gorgeous butterfly image. It's from Gina K's Take Flight. I couldn't wait to try the Copics out on it. I stamped one of the leaf images on the background after masking the butterfly. I also left the oval in the die to keep that white border. Then I sponged the oval. I mounted that on the textured cardstock that had been embossed. I used my ticket corner punch and added the rhinestones. Love it.
This card was heavily influenced by Theresa. See her work on her blog here. She rocks the sponging. It also happens to follow the sketch challenge for Stamp TV for this week. Check out Gina's new venture. It's awesome! The blinkie is on the right. Just click on it and enjoy!

Fun with my Sistahs!

Jenni B, Lorrie, Bevvie (funniest woman alive)

Me, Deb V, Kathy

Here are my stamping buddies (missing Jenni's mom Sherrie)! Love them! Sunday we had another birthday celebration (gosh are we all getting old or what), which entails going to eat at Olive Garden, going back to someone's house for cake and cards, stamping, and swapping our challenge cards. This time we watched a movie too, The Secret Life of Bees. Fantastic! It was a wonderful day!
For our challenges someone will grab some inexpensive stamps, like Snag 'em Stamps by Imaginisce, and some coordinating paper for each of us. We take it home and see what we come up with. We make enough for everyone and swap at our next get together. Below is my card from our latest challenge.
I'll be back later or tomorrow with one of the birthday cards I made for our little party.

I'm Back!

I got my stampin' mojo back, finally! It's been quite a dry spell. I have been trying to organize and clean up my stamping space, take care of my Grandson, work, and go to school. Who had time to actually stamp! I decided to make myself stamp this weekend. I had to anyway. I have a birthday celebration with the rest of the stamping posse tomorrow! I also had a sympathy card to make.

My son's former hockey coach recently lost his mother. She was a wonderful lady. When the team was playing around the Detroit area she would often come and watch the games. Sometimes she even brought doughnuts for the parents. My son played for this coach for many years. They are all wonderful people. That's what I made this card for. I used the sketch from the first sketch challenge of StampTV . You should play along too. You might win a stamp set.

After our birthday celebration tomorrow I'll be back with more to share!

Supplies:
Stamps: Melanie's "A Year of Flowers" for Gina K Designs, "Sincere Salutations" by SU
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, SU Basic Brown
Paper: Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush and Dark Chocolate CS, Basic Grey Bittersweet DP, Beckett White CS
Accessories: Hero Arts Pearls, SU Dimensionals, Prismacolor Pencils, OMS, Textile Cuttlebug folder

Framed

I know I haven't been around for awhile. I haven't even touched a stamp in a couple of weeks. School has been crazy, along with my grandson taking up a fair amount of time! Add to that the teenage drama that goes with being a mom and I have had no time for me. I plan to rectify that this weekend!
I'm posting this (gorgeous) image that I framed for a friend's birthday quite awhile back. I believe I colored it with ink on the lid of the stamp pad and an aquapainter. I stamped the saying on a piece of torn cork paper my sister gave to me. I wish the colors showed up better. Anyway, thanks for looking, and I hope to be back with more this weekend!
ETA: I thought I should tell you that this was made for my great friend Bevvie! Her blog is here! She is one of the funniest people I know!

My First Try at Digi Scrapping

My first try! I love it! Of course, like my friends say, it's not my talent but the subject matter that makes it look good. He sure is a cute one! That's my grandson Brayden! He is the love of my life! He's just yummy!
The paper and journal box are from Color My World by Rhonna Farrer. The strip of old paper is from Spontaneous Delight by Carrie Stephens. The "Authentic" word art is from Rough Riders by Sande Krieger. These were all found on Two Peas in a Bucket. These were all from Free kits too! You'll find LOTS of digital kits on Two Peas that are pretty reasonable too, and Gorgeous!
Thanks for looking!

Oooh, Sparkly!

I used the CPS sketch 96 for this card, and the previous one. It's from a couple of weeks ago but I loved it and kept it in mind. I sed the BG Two Scoops paper again, only this time I altered the paper. I used my stardust glitter pen to add some shimmer to the paper and the flowers. I even went over the letters. I love me some bling! It's nice because it adds a lot without any added bulk. The center of the flowers have a dot of Crystal Stickles in the middle. I took the second picture so you could see where I used the pen. The greeting is from JustRite, curlz font. Of course, looks much better in real life. So pretty.
Thanks for looking!

Valentine!

I thought I'd jump into my Basic Grey Two Scoops paper for some valentine cards. Yummy!
I started with Pretty in Pink CS and laid on some BG. The "Be Mine" is the curlz font from JustRite. Love it for Valentines Day! The ribbon is Wild Wasabi from SU. The flowers are Primas. I used wire to hold them all together. I haven't used wire in probably years, so I thought why not. I love it on this flower.
Thanks for looking!
