Unity Cards!!!

Here are the details for the cards that I promised. They use the newest stamps from Unity. I got the bundle. I also used some of the free stamps that I won last week! How exciting! Thanks again Angela! The snowflakes on the background were in my box. I also used Kiwi Kiss and Confetti Cream CS on both of them.
On the first one I used Baja Breeze CS also. I stamped the snowflakes in vanilla craft ink. I added some buttons and checked off the boxes with a marker.
On the second one I used Close to Cocoa CS and Basic Grey Boxer DP along with the Kiwi Kiss and Confetti Cream. The card base was also stamped with the canvas BG stamp from SU in Versamark to get just a faint image. I paper pierced around the image, then distressed the edges using my scissors, sponged on some creamy caramel ink, and curled the corners. A button and some linen thread and I called it good.

I hope you like these cards. I really enjoyed making them!

A Little Extra Something!

I added a little something to a previous card that I did. After shopping at my friendly LSS I added flock to the center of my daisies! When I first saw flock I thought of the center of flowers because they're so velvety. It adds a lot and you can still see the stamped image underneath it. It's so soft!
Crushed velvet flock is made by Doodlebug Designs in BonBon.
Hope you like the changes!

Halloween Card (before it's over)

Here is another Halloween card before Halloween is over. I used the Spellbound set from Making Memories. The base is stamped with BOO and the pumpkin border across the bottom. The image was stamped, then cut out by hand very carefully. The orange layer behind it was trimmed by hand also. The bat is adhered to the card on the body only, with the wings curved for some dimension. The 3-D bat was stamped on black cs and covered with black Stickles. The other bat is also covered with stickles. I picked up the ribbon at Michaels last week. Great ribbon with a little purple in it.
Thanks for looking!

OMG! I won 100 Unity Stamps!!!

I'm not bragging. Really I'm not. I am just SO excited! Angela had a drawing for 100 stamps on Hip Hop Thursday. Your name got put into the drawing with an order. I LOVE their stamps, so I finally put an order in. I didn't even know that I won until today, Saturday. I couldn't wait to get the stamps I ordered, but now I'm more excited than ever! You have to check out the Unity blog if you haven't yet. Their designs are awesome. They have a Kit Club that I am pondering. And although I never met Angela, she seems like a real sweetie with a great heart, and generous to boot. And what an attractive family!
Check them out if you haven't yet! And THANK YOU Angela!
Edited to add: Expect me to share the wealth and have some Blog Candy after I receive my stamps! I'm so excited to be able to share!

I won blog candy!

Can you believe it? I actually won something. I know I used to win stuff, but not for a VERY long time. I won a 6 x 6 BASIC GREY paper pad. I couldn't decide which I wanted, so I asked Tammy to pick between Eva and Ambrosia. I have the rest of them and I couldn't decide. I won here, at Stamp Happy. She has an awesome blog with lots of great ideas. You have to go visit! She's on my blogroll of 'places I like to visit' on the right too.
Thanks for letting me be excited!

Fall flowers for Daisy

Here are some flowers for the fall. The stamp is from Gina K Designs "Flowers for Daisy" by Asela Hopkins. The image was colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with baby oil. I combined it with some K and Company paper by Brenda Walton. Great find at a dollar type store; $3.00 for a 8.5 x 8.5 pad! I added some buttons and the greeting from SU. The image is popped up on dimensionals, of course.
Thanks for looking.

Anna Wight Whipper Snapper Stamps Rock!

These stamps Rock! Anna Wight is a true talent! You have to go see her blog and her stamps on Whipper Snapper!

It took me FOREVER to actually finish this card. I tweeked and tweeked until it was just right. I was SO happy with it, but I don't think you can go wrong with these images.
The front panel is cut off at the bottom to show the strip of paper that I attached on the inside along the bottom. It's from the Basic Grey Figgy 6x6 pack. It's not glimmery like in the picture, but I made it glimmery! I used the Gelly Roll clear star pen over each and every design. I also put it on a few lines in the pattern paper along the top of the card, on the band on the top hat, and on the buttons. Love it! This pen is awesome! Everyone should have it. It adds the glitter, but it's subtle and pretty classy looking. I also added stickles to the top of the sign, top of the hat, and along the bottom for the snow. I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and blended with baby oil. The sign, snowman, bird, and top hat were all stamped on white cs, then colored and cut out. The sign , bird, and top hat were popped up with dimensionals. I also put Crystal Effects on the top hat.

I love this card and I hope you all enjoy looking at it.

Card for Cathy

I made this card for my sister Cathy's birthday. I love the Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper I got last week. I couldn't wait to get it and tear into it. I took the bird in the paper and tried to get the same feel with the bird stamp that I had. Sorry, I don't know who made it. No, the bird doesn't have pink eye. The birds in the paper have their eyes closed and they have pink lids. I think it looks like she has her eyes closed ;) . I stamped part of the bird on the yellow paper in the pack and cut out and adhered the beak. I did the same for the flower on the pink in the paper pack. The corners are from Basic Grey. They're self adhesive, so I put the paper on the sticky side. Much easier.

Note Pad Holder

There is a group of stamping friends that get together to celebrate birthdays, which entails going to dinner and stamping. It's a blast! This weekend we got together for just a movie and dinner. We have so much fun. Someone started a new tradition. One of the group will spring a new individual stamp and a piece of designer paper on everyone. We all get the same stamp and the same paper. Our challenge is to create 7 cards, one for ourselves and one for each lady of the group. This time it was a Christmas theme. We received this gingerbread man and the Basic Grey Gingerbread/Orange Peel DP from the Fruitcake Collection. Instead of a card I decided to use some notepads that have been sitting here begging to be used. I made this notepad holder for notes for Christmas. I used Basic Grey Magnets to hold it closed. The CS is Ruby Red, Creamy Caramel, and Wild Wasabi. I stamped the image on Watercolor Paper with Black StazOn. I colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils, blending with baby oil. I used black Stickles on the buttons and eyes. I used Crystal Effects for the red trim. I tinted it with red reinker. Don't do that : ( . It isn't shiny at all. I put plain Crystal Effects over the unshiny red. That fixed it. The greeting came with the gingerbread man.

Thanks for looking! Have a great day!

Inki Halloween

I love Inkadinkado Stamps. I had to ink this one up after it sat for a week or so.

I sponged black around the edge of the card. I used SU Pumpkin Pie CS. I stamped the row of spiders across the bottom. The other cardstock I used is SU Elegant Eggplant and black. I stamped the web in SU craft white, then embossed in Irridescent Ice EP. I love it that the white made it show up and it has that sparkle. The flowers are from the Prima Bucket of Blooms. The flowers are all white and I stamped spiders on 2 of them. I rubbed my black, pumpkin pie, and elegant eggplant pads across the flowers. One flower has a black brad for the center, another one an orange rhinestone. The bigger flower has a big brad that was a dull silver. That would not do. Using my tweezers, I dabbed the head of the brad on a Versamark pad, then dipped it in black EP. After heating it I quickly dunked it in the black again. After heating it a second time I quickly dipped it in Irridescent Ice EP. That gave it a cool effect, perfect for Halloween! I did kind of the same thing for the spider on the web. I really struggled with that spider. I didn't want to put it on the CS like I did, but I had to do something to make it show up. I stamped the spider in versamark, then poured on the black EP. After heating it I quickly dumped some Irridescent Ice on it so I could get the same effect as with the brad. I used the ticket punch on the corners and added some orange rhinestones. I really like this card!
Have a graet day!
