I'm Back!

I'm finally feeling better! It was nasty, and it was long, but it's over! I feel human again.
I whipped this up the other day for a Christmas gift for my mom and dad. I'm making a lot of gifts this year. I used Basic Grey paper (Boxer) of course. The reddish is from BG also but Stella Ruby I think. I cut out the letters using my friend's Cricut. I used some of my old Hodgepodge Hardware for embellishments. The navy grosgrain is SU, and the twill I think is from some gift I received. Love to recycle! It's pretty simple, but it's right for them.
Thanks for looking, and have a great day!

Sorry! Too sick to blog :(

Sorry I haven't been updating, or stamping, or scrapping, or anything else this week. I've been pretty much in bed, down for the count, all week. It started sitting in class Monday night. I felt like something wasn't quite right. Within an hour after getting home I was in bed with blankets piled on me, shaking like I was sitting in a snowbank. This went on pretty much all night. I don't know when the ibufrofen finally kicked in. From that point on I could not breathe through my nose, at all, all week. Whenever the ibuprofen wears off, and I have forgotten to take more, I end up back in bed with the blankets piled on me, shaking. Add in a little dizziness, nausea, achiness, and I think you have the flu. Yuck! My baby girl has been great at taking care of me and making sure she has somewhere for Brayden to go when she's working (usually I take care of him). She's done so much more for me than my DH I hate to say, but that's another story.
I will be back with some great creations as soon as I can!
HAGD!

Stuff for Brayden

I made these things for my Grand son, Brayden. He's only 11 months old, but he'll know someday. When he gets a little older he can put things in the box that little boys like to collect, hopefully nothing living. The letter B is for his wall.
I used Daisy D's paper on both items. I love it! I used Mod Podge to adhere the paper, then a coat over the top to keep it nice.
Thanks for looking!

Unity Birdy

I love this little bird. I had some thank you cards to make for some very generous people and I chose this bird for the main image. This was included in the box of 100 stamps that I received awhile back from Angela at Unity. The "thanks" and the flowers in the second card were too. I also used the Sassafras Sunshine Lollipops paper and crystal stickers over the flowers that I received in the mail this week from Broni (Go to her blog now and drool all over your keyboard. She is phenominal!). Yes, I won more blog candy. I'm quitting entering for awhile, as much as it kills me. (I don't want anyone to think I'm greedy.)
The card base is textured SU Baja Breeze. I mounted both on SU Pumpkin Pie. On the first card I used the ticket corner punch, then added orangy rhinestones on the corners. On the second card I took the guard off of the same punch and made the little reverse scallop edge. On both cards I stamped the images with Black StazOn and colored with Prismacolor Pencils.
The second card is actually for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge. I turned it on it's side, but it's there. Try a challenge or two. Thanks for looking!

Melanie's Challenge

I needed to stamp today. Not like I felt like it. I mean I NEEDED to stamp. Brayden is gone for the weekend. No hockey games. No work today. ME TIME! It's about time. I know I was gone all last weekend, but it's different when you're at home having me time.
Melanie M has the Mixology 101 challenge and I had to play! I don't do nearly enough challenges! You are to use stamps from 3 or more sets from Gina K if possible. That was easy! The tees and little tiny stars are from Melanie's "Little Tees," Best Friends is from Rupa's "Whatever Floats Your Boat," and the star after Best is from Melanie's "Just So Sporty."
The tees are stamped on paper from the Basic Grey Urban Prairie 6x6 pad. I took Mel's idea (click on the challenge above to see her card) and used my one and only Copic to go around the edges of the tees. It was fun to use it! The outside tees are popped up on dimensionals. The background paper is also from the BG pad. The ribbon is from Michaels. It's all on a white card base. I may go back and add a little sparkle to the stars ;) .
I have more cards to add in a little bit. Thanks for looking!!!

Great Weekend of Scrappin'!

I haven't posted because I was away for the weekend scrapping. I got a lot done, mostly of this little guy. This is my Grandson, Brayden, on his first Halloween. I love this picture! My friend Trudy took it at her house. He is the light of my life! He and his mom live with us, so I get plenty of baby love. He's 11 months old now. Where did the time go? I did make an awesome card this weekend for a friend's birthday. My batteries in my camera died, so I didn't get a picture yet, but I will.
I hope you all had a great weekend too!

Unity Tree

I finally got to ink up my Dream Tree stamp from Unity! I love it. It's so pretty and swirly just beggin' for bling! This saying was included in my box of stamps that I won! I loved this stamp and never expected it to be in the box. So happy it was!
The tree and saying are stamped in Close to Cocoa. I sponged the tree with So Saffron, then sponged around it with More Mustard. The card base is Close to Cocoa. It needed something so I dug out this K & Co. Brenda Walton DP pad. The colors were too light for this card so I sponged the DP with More Mustard. It looked great, but then the main image blended in with the DP. I took my Close to Cocoa marker and drew a border around the main image to make it stand out. Perfect! The bling was the topper. They're also K & Co. Brenda Walton. The saying is popped up on Dimensionals.
Thanks for visiting!
