Last Day of Growing in Unity

This is my last day of my Growing in Unity week. It's been fun, and I truly appreciate everyone's kind comments :) This post is going to be long on pics, and short on words.
My first card uses the bird stamp from the February, 2011 Kit of the Month, "the best is yet to be". Paper is from Basic Grey Picadilly (loving that paper). I like the little frame around the image :)
I'm linking this card up to the Unity Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge.
My next card is the anniversary card for my husband (22 years this month).
The ticket stamp is from Unity's "here's the ticket" set. The sentiment from the February, 2011 Kit of the Month, and it fits perfectly in the space on the ticket!
I cut the strips of paper (Stampin' Up) to mimic the ticket shape. I sponged Weathered Wood Distress Ink around the edges of the strips as well as the ticket.
This card will be linked up to The Deconstructed Sketch #50
My final project is a notepad holder. The sentiment is from the Melody Ross set, "All Worth It". I love the sentiment! Great advice. I also used the Christy Tomlinson stamp, "Tattered Chicken Wire". The birds are from the Melody Ross set, "Love Life"
The paper I used is Christy Tomlinson's new paper. Ok, I think I'm addicted to paper.
Here is a peek at the inside.
Whew, that was a long one, and not so short on words after all.
Again, thank you for stopping by! I really appreciate all of the great comments!
I will be back on Sunday with the winner of the two Unity Itty Bitty Stamps~!
Have a great day!

Art of Wild Abandonment Class

I am taking an awesome online class, being taught by Junelle Hallstrom Jacobsen and Christy Tomlinson. I am having the most fun, and even losing sleep because I don't want to go to bed once I get on a roll.
Here are some of projects I've completed so far. (It gets better as it goes along).

This is my fav so far. My Grandma used to say this to us when we wanted some kind of justice for something that was done to us or someone we loved. She was a wise woman.
The amazing paper used in this page is from Basic Grey's Picadilly line. I absolutely LOVE it!
That's it for now! Thanks for stopping by!
Have a phenomenal day!

She Art

Christy Tomlinson is a very talented lady. She has an online workshop called The She Art Workshop that I took when she offered it the first time. It was amazing!!! This is my final project from the class.
It's sure not Christy Tomlinson, but I was so happy with it!
She has another workshop coming up that I would take if I could called "She Had Three Hearts." You should look into it if you're feeling artsy ;)
Thank you so much for stopping by!
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Another Canvas!

I'm loving these canvases! Here is a big departure from the first one, but I think I like the style of the first one. I admit she looks a little like a linebacker, but I still like her.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Fun with Canvas!

Edited to add: I added a piece cotton lace across the dress because it needed something. I also added a smile. Like it much better.
Sorry I haven't posted in FOREVER! I have been busy with school, kids, hockey, and a couple of awesome online workshops. Fun ones! I took Melody Ross' Soul Restoration Workshop first. I'll post about that later. Now I'm taking Christy Tomlinson's She Art Workshop. Love it! She teaches how to make these She Art girl canvases, mixed media darlings. She rocks!

Here is my first canvas. So much fun to just keep throwing stuff on the canvas. There's a ton of texture on this canvas. There are close ups below this one. I made this for a friend who is dealing with cancer. I hope she likes it. I think the proportions are a little off. He body is awfully big ;) I love it though!

This was so much fun to make! Of course my dear sweet husband didn't get it. He figured I wasn't done because she doesn't have a face. Gotta love him.
I stamped these flowers with ink, but they weren't showing up very well, so I painted them with paint. I LOVE paint!
Thank you for looking. It's always great to see that I've had visitors!
Have a blessed day!
