My Unity Place Halloween Card

I know it's a little early, but I won this Itty Bitty and I had to use it right away!
I used the sketch from My Unity Place's challenge.

The paper is from Making Memories Spellbound and The Girls Paperie Toil and Trouble. The swirls were punched out of some textured paper that was given to me as a gift. The punch is from EK Success.
The die cut was cut using a Nestability. I sponged it with Tim Holtz Distress Ink. The orange is from the ribbon. It was white seam binding that was sprayed with Pumpkin Pie Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. While it was still wet I dabbed it on the die cut. I thought it left some interesting texture.
The stamp is part of the Itty Bitty set, Witching Hour.
I added some black rhinestones for a little pop :)
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a fantastic day!

Father's Day Cards

With such a crazy week I don't know how I got any cards done, but I did! A couple anyway.
Here is my father-in-law's card. We love that guy!
I used the sketch from Deconstructing Jen.
The Deconstructed Sketch No. 6

This second card is for my hubby. Another great guy! I used the paper from The Girls' Paperie, "On Holiday." Love that for men and boys.
I added the grass, and the oval to ground the image. Colored with Copics, with Spica markers on the little accents and smoke swirls. I had no navy rikrak, so I colored white rikrak with a navy
Copic.
I added the burgers to the grill :)
These cards are both being submitted to All Things Unity Challenge #33, Get Manly :)
Thanks for stopping in :)
Have a great day!

Another Gift for Eli

My sister's baby shower is this weekend, and here is another gift for the little guy.

These letters took a little work because I changed my mind about the color after painting them blue. It just didn't work, so green it was! Since there is brown in the room and in the paper I used (On Holiday by The Girls' Paperie) I wanted some brown. I didn't want the heaviness of more paper, so I used washi tape! Love it! It worked perfectly. I sanded all of the edges, which let the blue show through, so that worked. I Mod Podged over the paper and tape. I am becoming a Mod Podge Queen! Of course I had to add Buttons!!! I think it'll work great in his room.
Thank you for stopping by! And have a rockin' day!
ETA: I submitted this project to Moxie Fab's Home Decor Challenge. The deadline is tonight, April 21, at midnight!

A Couple of Sweet Soft Cards

Sometimes I just want a card that's soft and pretty.
This new Springtime Vintage paper from Stampin' Up fits the bill. I wasn't thrilled with the colors, as they aren't as vibrant as pictured, but they are great for soft cards. Their new embossing folder, Framed Tulips, is awesome! Great texture. The sentiment is from Melody Ross' Unity set "All Worth It..." I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Momento Ink, then I went over it with a black glaze pen so it would stand out. It looks like it's not put down very good, but trust me I fixed that after the picture ;)
I put lot of layers and extras on this card. The doily is a Wilton doily that I sponged with Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink. That adorable little heart is Webster's Pages Little Whimsies. So cute! The little embellishment in the corner is My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Market Street Love Brads. I switched out the brad that was in the center for the teal one from the package. I attached a tiny safety pin from SU's Vintage Trinkets top the bow. That bow is made from some seam binding I bought from Mish Mash ;) I think that all makes for a very soft pretty card!

This next card uses the same designer paper from SU. Very vintage. I believe the tea cup and saucer are from Unity's December '10 Kit of the Month. They were stamped twice in Basic Grey ink and cut out and layered. The print on the nestie is a Unity background, Giving it all Meaning. It was stamped in Versamark and embossed with clear powder. I love the rose button on the cup! There is a flower image on the cup, and I just covered it up with the button :) . It's from The Girl's Paperie Tinsel and Twig buttons.
The ribbon is the same as the card above, but this time I wrapped a pretty pearl brad around the middle. The brad is from the same My Mind's Eye brad pack as the embellishment in the previous card.
Thank you for looking in on me!
Have a beautiful day!

Girls Loft Christmas!!!

A quick card with no stamping! Kind of like that for a change.
The paper is Tinsel & Twig from The Girls Paperie. The letters and the flower trim is also from them. A simple but pretty card.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Baby Girl Card

I love doing girly cards! My daughter's friend is having a little girl. Yay! I would rather do shabby chic than any other card, so this is perfect for me ;)
I knew I had to use this pink rose paper from Daisy D's. I'm so sad they're not around anymore. They had the best papers. I found the green print and the solid pink in the Olivia by Basic Grey paper pad. For a girl you have to have lace and flowers. The white lace is from a package of various white lace trims from Melissa Frances. The frame is from Unity. I cut it out by hand after stamping it. I sponged on some Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I couldn't find a Unity stamp to use for the sentiment, but this SU stamp fits perfectly! The flowers are from the Fairytale Roses in Orchid and French White. They were sprayed with Glimmer Mist in Peppermint Twist and Vintage Pink. So pretty! The button is from The Girls' Paperie Vintage Buttons. Love them!
Thank you for stopping by! I love company ;)
Have a fabulous day!

Lookin' A Lot Like Christmas!

Another Christmas decoration. Love doing these!
The paper and embellishments are from The Girls' Paperie Tinsel and Twig. They were all in The Girl's Loft's November Kit. It's so nice because everything coordinates!
I stamped the poinsettia and sentiment from Unity's November Kit of the Month, Picture Perfect. I stamped off Old Olive SU ink for the poinsettia, then stamped the sentiment in Riding Hood Red SU ink.Thank you for stopping in! I appreciate it. Comments are nice too ;)
Have a tremendously great day!

Halloween Mini - Brayden!

Halloween 2010!

This album was soooooo much fun to do! Maybe it's because it's my daughter and my grandson Brayden ;)
I picked up this Little Yellow Bicycle House album a while back. I'm sure my friends thought it would sit (like all of the other ones I've picked up), but I was determined this time!
I received my kit from The Girl's Loft with all of the yummy papers and embellishments and I knew I would use it on this album. Most of it is from The Girls' Paperie. Gorgeous! Everything I used on this album, except for the black ric rac and a button was from this kit. Perfect! And I have a ton left!
Excited to get to Robinette's and get a pumpkin!
Silly
Kiss for Mom
Beautiful! Who could not love this? My favorite page, my favorite picture! The chimney is covered with the black lace from the kit that I pleated. And that charm at the top is awesome!!!
He had two bags of goodies from his Aunt Cathy!
Suckers!
Brayden decorating his jack o lantern with a marker.
Excited to get going!
Time to go!
Trick or treating fire fighter, complete with gas mask.
Thanks for looking! I appreciate the visits, and the comments ;)
Have a phenominal day!

I used my Copics!!! I love them, but boy is there a learning curve. My friend Deb V helped me learn a bit, and she did the shadow under and to the left of this little guy. His name is Cooper, and you can find him at Paper Pretties! He's on sale now too ;)
The DP I used is On Holiday from The Girls Paperie. I did a gatefold card for a change. I also did some paper pleating on the left. I cut him out with Oval Nesties and sponged the very edge with Tim Holtz Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.
Thanks for looking! Thanks for the comments too! I so appreciate them!
Have an awesome weekend!
