Family Banner
I had nothing to spell out family. All of my chipboard letters are far too small, as are my stickers. I have no letter stamps big enough either. Soooo I printed them on regular copy paper and very carefully cut them out. After die cutting the shapes from paper from Echo Park's For the Record to mount them on, I adhered the letters using my Xyron. I was inspired by the My Minds Eye blue papers. Love the colors.
I used flowers from Prima and Stampin' Up. The tiny little vintage style tag is from Stampin' Up also. The letter k is staped on it (for our last name). The ovals and die cuts were sponged with Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink. The die cuts were cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities. The borders were punched using various punches. After assembling I laced some seam binding through to hook them all together to hang.
This was submitted for the Moxie Fab World's Home Decor Challenge. The deadline has passed, but there are some great projects that were submitted if you want some inspiration.Saturday, February 5, 2011
Re-visiting a Papertrey Ink Post

Here is a grad card using Papertrey's Enjoy the Ride along with the die. I grabbed a piece of Core'dinations cardstock from the Super Assortments Roy G Biv collection. Awesome stuff! I used the Picnic Plaid Impression Plate, also from Papertrey. Yum! I lightly sanded the surface of the cardstock to show the pattern more. Love the effect! After stamping the car, I cut it out using the die. I took the solid stamp for the car, inked it up with SU Pumpkin Pie ink, then carefully touched it on the impression plate, which I had inked up with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink. The colors match much better in real life. Crystal Effects on the headlights and windshield. The car is popped up with dimensionals. The whole card front is mounted on Basic Black by SU. I added an orange rhinestone and it's good to go. Thanks for checking it out!Sunday, December 19, 2010
More Christmas!
Love chunky glitter. Love glitter, but chunky rocks this time of year. The snowflake is a leftover from last year. Perfect for the card. Love the texture it adds. And the corduroy brad and lace. Love lace!
The sentiment is from Unity. Love, love, love it!
Loving this paper from MME. Glitter on every one! Love it!
The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink Fillable Frames #8. Love the big chunky rik rak! The banner is from Papertrey Ink dies. So easy to make banners! Thanks for reading my kind of rambling post.

Merry & Bright Snow
I used clear packaging that some embellishments came in. It was a small little bag. I cut it down shorter than it was, put my acetate (which was a piece that some stamps came on) inside with the snowflake embossed on it, and filled the bottom of the package with white flock, SU Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, and SU Clear Microbeads. I taped it closed, and taped that to the card, mounted the card front on top of that with red line tape to keep it attached.
The stamps I used are from Unity's Merry & Bright Winter Wishes. Loving this set!I glued some new light blue flatback pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty. I have to tell you about this! I ordered a bunch of flatback pearls at VERY reasonable prices. Judy sent them to me very quickly! She's communicates and has some great products! I will be buying from her again!
I finished off with some ribbon and a tag cut from my Papertrey Ink Label Die. I tied that to the ribbon with baker's twine. I attached the tag with a SU Dimensional to keep it in place.Thank you for stopping by today! I am so happy you did!

Unity Hip Hop Sketch Challenge 23

This card is for the Unity Hip Hop Sketch Challenge #23.The pics are not great because my camera isn't working. If you know me you know how crazy I'm going right now without it! I had to use my phone. It's just not the same.
The image is stamped on Papertrey Vintage Cream CS. It's colored with Copics. Still working on it ;)
The yummy tree DP is Magpie Orchard by Scrapworks. So cute! That little strip of off white design is the reverse side of the trees. I carried the polka dots from the image to the background and the fabric tape from Love My Tapes. The deep red behind the image is Cherry Cobbler from Stampin' Up! Delicious!
Thanks for checking out my blog! Have a great day!

Growing in Unity Day 4!!!!
This card gave me some trouble, but I let it sit a couple of days and it all came together. I used Basic Grey paper as well as Pink Paislee 365 Degrees for the verse. There are black rhinestones on the middle of the butterfly and black glaze pen used for the antenna.
I got these nifty little note pads from Papertrey. I knew I had to make some cute little note pads using Unity of course! Here are two versions.
These were inspired by Michelle Wooderson. I love her style. These strawberries were stamped on SU Confetti Cream cs, then colored with SU markers. I don't recommend that cs for blending at all. I don't know what I was thinking! It turned out ok though. I put all kinds of stuff on these note pads. The tickets I actually got from Michelle Wooderson's Etsy shop. The little circles are punched out from the October Afternoon paper Fly a Kite, then topped with epoxy stickers. Makes a great accent. Buttons are SU.

October Afternoon Yumminess! And Some Buttons!

Yummy! I love this October Afternoon Thrift Shop and Fly a Kite paper! I got this layout and idea from Michelle Wooderson. She totally rocks her projects! For the larger embellishment I used 1 3/4" circles punched from packing paper from my Papertrey Ink order. I crumpled them up, flattened them back out, sponged them with Tim Holtz Old Paper Distress Ink. I stacked them together and put the punched circle on top. I stitched them all together with a button and black Bakers Twine from CKD Designs. Love that stuff. I have lots of colors now. I used a Stampin' Up! punch for the border. The background stamped on the Kraft cardstock in white is from Unity's Cosmo Cricket line. The "Happy for You" is from Papertrey Ink's Enjoy the Ride.Tuesday, May 25, 2010
Graduation Card
I paired it with Max & Whiskers from Basic Grey. Great guy paper!
I went over the bigger words with a black glaze pen for a little texture. I wrapped Martha Stewart brown Baker's Twine around the edge of the sentiment and through the button. The button is from my stash. Thanks for looking!Cardstock - Papertrey Ink Dark Chocolate

Unity KOTM Blog Hop Preview
This card uses the March Kit of the Month, Simple Life. I stamped the journaling block (not just for scrapbooking!), cut it out, and punched the edge using an EK Success edger punch. I saw the "But wait, there's more" along the bottom of the DP and thought it might be kind of cute along the bottom ;>. I stamped one of Unity's beautiful quotes on the inside. Sorry, could not get a decent picture of the inside, but you get the idea. I used my Cutter Bee Bug to add the perforated lines to mimic the lines in the paper. By the way, how awesome is the Cosmo Cricket Girl Friday line! The buttons I love! I put little snips of ribbon over the buttons and tied them to the buttons using linen thread. I got the idea from Michelle Wooderson. She always has awesome ideas!

May KOTM Guest Designer Challenge
I started with an SU Sahara Sand base. I stamped the little curly flourish along the edge. I added the designer paper from, I think, Daisy D's. The Kraft layer was stamped with the Distressed Dots. The Dress Form is mounted on Papertrey Ink Spring Rain CS. The "Hello" is stamped on Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush. The Twill Ribbon is also sponged with PTI Sweet Blush. All of the edges of the cardstock were distressed with the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser and sponged with SU Creamy Caramel Ink to age it. The twill was also sponged with Creamy Caramel. I dug and found some SU buttons to coordinate with the card. They have SU Linen Thread through them, and they're adhered with glue dots.
The GORGEOUS Dress Form was stamped in SU Close to Cocoa and colored with Prismacolor Pencils. After shading the whole thing I went over the lines and the basewith Prismacolor's Gold Metallic pencil. It was cut out in two pieces and mounted on the cardstock. The body of the form was popped up on dimensionals. I found this tiny rhinestone flower by Heidi Swapp for the belt. I went over the pearl necklace with my white pen.
Whew, that was a lot! I hope you enjoy it!
