Valentines for Vets

It's time for Valentine's Day cards for the Veteran's Home. I love this Unity stamp, Love Never Fails!
I colored the image with Copics. Love this color combo!
I hope the vets like them :)
This card is linked to Unity Friends With Flair ;)

Have a great weekend!

Anniversary Card

My Mom and Dad's 50th Anniversary is tomorrow. We're having a big party for them. :) I got up early this morning and made a card first thing. It's like me to forget to make cards for special occasions.
I die cut all of these little shapes and layered them. I love the way it turned out! The paper is from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad from Michael's.
The sentiment is Unity, of course. It's from the February, 2012 Kit of the Month, Lucky to Have You. I used just the words from the bottom of the stamp.
I'll be back later this week with pics from the things I made for the party. :) I  was in charge of the decorations. I can't wait until tomorrow for the party!
Thanks for stopping by. Have an awesome weekend!

A little More Unity

Here is one of the cards I made for the Veterans at our local Veterans' Home for Veteran's Day.
I used Unity's Simple Blessings. Great set for fall.
The designer series paper is by SU.
Thanks for stopping by :)
Have an awesome day!

A Little Unity

Happy little mushrooms, and a cute little happy snail!
I only have one picture because my computer is being repaired, and I don't have access to my photo editing software :(
The cardstock is SU Crumb Cake. The ds paper is My Mind's Eye. Happy paper! I think paper piecing is an awesome way to go when you have solid areas. I did use Copics to add a little dimension.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

How Did I Not Post The News!!!

I am a grandma again! My dear daughter had a beautiful baby girl! Her name is Angelia, and she is amazing!
Her brother adores her, as you can tell :)
And she is a month old already. Bad Blogger! Between Angelia (they live with us) and my new full time job, I'm wiped out! But it's a good wiped out :)

Thanks for stopping in to see the news!
Bless you all!

More Sprucing Up the Cubicle

A canvas will do the trick! I love making canvases!
I cut out some flowers and leaves from coordinating Webster's Pages papers.
Some acrylic paint, a white Sharpie paint pen, and some Mod Podge makes it fun and cute!
I did add some shadows with Copics too. I don't think it's great for the nibs, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right? After I was done it looked overall too dark, so I smudged some white paint on the background with my fingers. Much better.
 Thanks for stopping by!
Have an awesome day!

New Job, New Excuse to Make Stuff!

I have a new, full time job! While it will definitely take time away from my craft room, it will also give me more excuses to make things ;)

I have a cubicle to snazz up now! I have pictures to hang, and I thought these teeny tiny clothespins I have been hoarding for YEARS would be cute! They were pretty boring though. Cubicle's do not need boring. I colored them with Copics, doodled  a little, then used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic over the top. First time I used it. Dried very clear! I have used other similar products, and they can sometimes distort color, but this did not.
These babies are tiny. Sorry the pics are a little blurry. I tried getting really close.
You can see compared to the dime how small they are. You can also see the shine from the Dimensional Magic. Love it!
Thanks for stopping by! I'm going to try to get some cards going this week, promise! And I have some other ideas for sprucing up my cubicle too ;) Have a great week!
