A little, but not too shabby.   I stamped the dot background with Versamark Ink. The dots were a little more pronounced than I had at first envisioned because the stamp was a little dirty pre-inked.  I'm not a fan of cleaning my stamps. This card is for my beautiful sister!   I used Unity's Bright & Merry Winter Wishes.  I colored the ornaments with Copics (and it's way better blended than it looks in the pics).   The sparkle is from the Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust pen.  The gorgeous ribbon is from Stampin Up! I posted these on Sunday, but I knew I had to do something more. I have to get a little sappy today. This is the time of year that kids go back to school, and some kids go away to school. I have one going back to school, and one who left the nest. Cam didn't leave to go to school, but to Canada to play junior hockey. That's us together, at his graduation. I miss him. He is someone I really like.He's not perfect, and he's a teenager, so there are those moments!

I made this canvas for my entryway, for various reasons ;) I love it! I wanted to go with a fancy shaped card tonight. The way I make a card like this, I cut the full shape out of the designer paper. I then fold a neutral color piece of cardstock in half, and cut it out using the same die, only I leave the fold uncut. From the first time I saw this butterfly by Unity, I knew it must be mine! As you may have seen, my baby sister had a little baby boy last week :) Here is a card for her and her husband. I used the Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab World for the inspiration. Perfect timing! The quilt was colored with Copics. The little blue ribbon was also. It wasn't quite the color I wanted. I added the little blades of grass with a Copic Multiliner, then went over it with a green Copic.

It's that time of year! Fresh berries! Yum1 I love this strawberry stamp! I colored it with Copics and covered it with Paper Glaze, and highlighted parts with a white Sharpie Poster Paint pen.  CPS has a great sketch this week. My Unity Place has a tag challenge going on right now, so I got out some tags and went to work! This tag is pretty darn big. It's 6" x 3 1/4". I used the Unity set, Birdie Duet. Sorry I have been missing in action. We had my son's graduation party last weekend. Lots of work, but well worth it :) . Then my mom got very sick with pneumonia and sepsis and ended up in ICU on a ventilator. Well, I tried to follow the sketch for Unity's Kit of the Month Sketch. After I cut the floral paper I realized I flipped the diagonal, but I was not wasting this paper! So flipped it is!  I used the December, 2010 Kit of the Month for the sentiment.  A quick card using the current CPS sketch. Paper is October Afternoon with a little MME mixed in. Stamps are Unity, of course. The little flowers were die cut using the Blossom Nestie. I cut little slits toward the middle, then used my stylus and shaped the petals a little. Here is a grad card using Papertrey's Enjoy the Ride along with the die. I grabbed a piece of Core'dinations cardstock from the Super Assortments Roy G Biv collection. Awesome stuff! Sometimes I just want a card that's soft and pretty. This new Springtime Vintage paper from Stampin' Up fits the bill. I wasn't thrilled with the colors, as they aren't as vibrant as pictured, but they are great for soft cards. Their new embossing folder, Framed Tulips, is awesome! Great texture. These ornaments from the Unity kit, Bright & Merry Winter Wishes remind me of Christmases when I was a kid at my grandparents' so I wanted to make them look vintage. This was so much fun to make! Lots of Mod Podge and My Mind's Eye Paper.The stockings are from KaiserCraft and come in two pieces. The holes for the ribbon are also pre-drilled and they match up perfectly between the two pieces.I painted some Tim Holtz Grunge Board letters with acrylic paint.
